Moving to Miami only four years ago, Lori Adams has complied an enviable following of loyal clients. In fact, she received one of the highest numbers of nomination forms in the history of Florida Real Estate Journal’s Top Women campaign.

Adams serves as the Fidelity Commercial Network agency manager and national accounts executive for Southeast Florida. She has handled a broad range of transactions including a single-site restaurant acquisition, a 99-site hospital acquisition, multiple mall acquisitions including a $110 million deal in New York, a $4.2 billion stock merger transaction, a $2.4 billion hotel/casino redevelopment transaction and trophy office towers, including the $200 milliion acquisition of the Equitable Bank building in San Francisco.

Adams was responsible for bringing in nearly $1 billion in commercial title insurance underwriting for Fidelity in 2003, her first year with the company.

“To have come this far is such a short time is very gratifying. I have a great group of clients out there,” she said.

Adams started her career right out of college, landing an entry-level job with a title company.

“I actually found out very quickly that I enjoy real estate. I began with residential and soon went to commercial. That is my true love,” she said.

Adams said she finds satisfaction in helping her clients to get their deals done.

“At the end of the day, when the deal is closed and everyone breathes a sigh of relief, that is my reward. That is what motivates me,” she said. “I take great pleasure in going above and beyond. If I don’t know the answer, I go get the answer. That has helped to catapult my career.”

Adams is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women Miami, currently serving as chairperson for the business-to-business commitment and previously serving on the Hospitality Committee. She is also a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Adams is one of the founding directors of AYREP-Miami (Association of Young Real Estate Professionals) and served as past president. She is actively involved with the South Florida chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and is a graduate of GMCC's Leadership Miami. She has also been involved in fundraising for Women's Fund and Lawyers for Children.

“I would definitely like to get involved more deeply in national and international deals. I’m also vying for more of a management position to train and encourage other people to become successful,” she said.

“One of my main goals is to let young women know that - no matter where they come from in life, no matter what their background might be - they can become successful in the real estate industry as long as they possess the drive, determination and love of the industry. I’ve had plenty of wonderful mentors along the way. I hope that I can do the same for younger people coming into the industry.”
