Vector handles sale of Jannus Landing

ST. PETERSBURG - Vector Commercial Real Estate Services announced the sale of the property at 200 First Ave. N. in St. Petersburg at the historic Jannus Landing.

The property consists of a two-story mixed use building in the heart of St. Petersburg’s thriving downtown core and overlooks the historic Jannus Landing courtyard. The building measures 13,662sf and sold for $1.3 million.

Ned Willis, Blakemore Kearney and Jon La Budde of Vector Commercial Real Estate Services LLC acted as transaction brokers between Maverick Real Estate Partners LLC and The Jannus Landing Retail Building LLC.

Coldwell Banker closes 11,300sf mixed-use sale

TAMPA - Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT marked the sale of an 11,360sf mixed-use building at 1327 E. 7th Ave. in historic Ybor City.

The bank-owned building was renovated in 2005 and sold to Ybor City Properties LLC for $825,000 or $72.62 psf.

The seller was 745 Special Assets LLC. Tom Brice, CCIM, and Dee Maret were the listing agents.

Tampa to get $38M for Encore project

TAMPA - The city of Tampa was notified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that it will receive $38 million in federal funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to build a shovel-ready project between downtown Tampa and Ybor City on the site of the former Central Park Village apartments.

Encore is a 30-acre urban redevelopment project that has been in the development process for more than four years.

Taylor & Mathis notes first lease at MetWest

TAMPA - Taylor & Mathis of Florida announced recently that Skanska USA Building Inc. has become the first to sign a lease at MetWest International, a new mixed-use development in the Westshore area. Taylor & Mathis Managing Director of Leasing Angela Odell negotiated the transaction on behalf of the owner, MetLife.

Skanska, the construction manager for the project, has leased 20,226sf at MetWest International (MetWest One), which is across from Tampa International Airport and International Plaza. The office building topped off in July and is scheduled for completion in January.

SKY Sotheby's to move to Proscenium

SARASOTA - SKY Sotheby's International Realty is purchasing approximately 33,000sf in Lion's Gate Development's Proscenium, a $1 billion, mixed-use project in downtown Sarasota. The Sarasota-based real estate company will locate its world headquarters at the development, which is anticipated to open in late 2010 to early 2011.

SKY Sotheby's is the first announced Proscenium occupant.
