Stevens Construction: Premier Surgery Center

SARASOTA - Stevens Construction Inc. has completed the renovations at Premier Surgery Center of Sarasota for Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America. Construction entailed a renovation of 20 rooms within the existing facility at 983 Beneva Road. Christopher Cooke of Stevens Construction served as the project manager; Pete Garcia was the superintendent; and Terri Sobeck was project administrator. Robert DeVries of Hardaway Associates designed the project.

Sunshine Structures: Mosaic Operations Center

LITHIA - Sunshine Structures has completed the design-build contract with Ryan Companies US Inc. to provide the structural design and shell construction for Mosaic’s new Florida Operations Center at 13841 Fishhawk Blvd., Lithia.

Sunshine provided all cast-in-place concrete, steel-reinforced tilt-walls and structural steel systems for this four-story, 113,600sf building. Sunshine Structures and its engineering partner, LJB Inc., worked with Ryan Companies in the design of this CON/STEEL Tilt Systems building that features tilt-panels in excess of 196,000 lbs. and exceed 64 feet in height.

Sunshine Structures: Beck office

TAMPA - Sunshine Structures completed the design-build contract to provide the structural design and shell construction for The Beck Group on its new office building at 220 West Seventh Ave., Tampa.

Sunshine provided all cast-in-place concrete, steel-reinforced tilt-walls and structural steel systems for this three-story, 32,000sf building. Sunshine Structures and its engineering partner, LJB Inc., worked with The Beck Group in the design of this CON/STEEL Tilt Systems building.

Stevens Construction Inc.: Florida Hospital Zephyrhills

ZEPHYRHILLS - Stevens Construction Inc. has completed the interior renovation at the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Orthopaedic & Spine Institute, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Located at 6748 Gall Blvd., the project consisted of the interior demolition and reconstruction of a 10,200sf medical office building. The facility houses the new office of the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Orthopaedic & Spine Institute, equipped with exam rooms, two X-ray rooms, casting room and administrative offices.

GLE Associates: Haines City fire station

GLE Associates Inc., a facilities and environmental consulting firm, was recently awarded a new fire station design project from the city of Haines City.

GLE will be completing the architectural and engineering design. The new fire station is planned to be a 9,500sf, single-story and two-bay substation facility. The selected site location will serve for future development in the northern part of Haines City. Estimated construction cost for this project is $1,900,000.

Tri-City Electrical: Hudson Ridge

TAMPA - Orlando-based Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. completed $764,000 of work at the new multimillion-dollar, 168-unit Hudson Ridge Apartments in Pasco County under its contract with First Florida Construction, Miami.

Keene Construction: hhgregg

SARASOTA - Keene Construction Company of Orlando announced the grand opening of the newly-completed 30,000sf hhgregg store at the multimillion-dollar Sarasota Crossings redevelopment at 5511 Fruitville Road in Sarasota for Commodore Realty, Key Biscayne. The building shell was designed by Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Orlando. Herschman Architects, Cleveland, Ohio, handled interior design.

Terry’s Electric: Bentley Commons

ZEPHYRHILLS - Terry’s Electric Inc. completed work on the new multimillion-dollar, 100-unit Bentley Commons at Zephyrhills assisted living facility in Zephyrhills, in Pasco County. The Douglas Company, Orlando, served as general contractor for the project.

Tri-City Electrical: Burlington Senior Residences

TAMPA - Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. is under way on $596,000 of work at the new 82-unit, 110,000sf Burlington Senior Residences and parking garage at 298 8th St. N. in Tampa under its contract with Vaughn Bay Construction, St. Petersburg. Completion is slated for December 2010.

Tri-City Electrical: Hunt Club

TAMPA - Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. of Orlando completed $512,000 of work at the new 122,804sf, 96-unit Hunt Club Apartments in Hillsborough County under its contract with First Florida Construction, Miami.
