City picks Acquest for riverfront plan

FORT MYERS - Acquest Realty Advisors Inc., a single-source real estate developer specializing in hotels and conference centers - recently announced its selection by the Fort Myers City Council to formulate and execute a redevelopment plan for an area encompassing five city-owned acres along the riverfront.
Acquest will work with city officials and a redevelopment team to devise a plan that incorporates expanding the existing Harborside Event Center, constructing a companion headquarters hotel, public parking and mixed-use entertainment components.
The area selected for redevelopment is located along the Caloosahatchee River and is bordered by the Harborside Event Center, Centennial Park and the Fort Myers Yacht Basin.
