Lynd Company to tackle South Florida

Last updated September 18th, 2008.

MIAMI - The Lynd Company, a 25-year-old property management firm headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, has expanded its operations into South Florida and has hired seasoned real estate executive Andrew Ginsburg to head up its new regional office. Ginsburg will serve as regional vice president and report directly to the company’s Chief Operating Officer David Lynd.

The Lynd Company specializes in the management of medium- and large-size apartment complexes. It currently has 35,000 units under management in 41 markets across 13 states, primarily in Texas and the Southeast. The company is also ranked as the 35th largest national operators on the National Multi Housing Council’s list of “Top 50 Apartment Managers” in the United States for 2008.

The Lynd Company is targeting apartment complexes in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties with a minimum of 150 units. According to David Lynd, the company decided to expand into South Florida because it has identified an opportunity to leverage its technological and customer-centric competitive advantages.

Ginsburg has more than eight years of direct experience in the local real estate industry. He was a land development manager for Coscan Homes, a project manager/acquisitions analyst for Toll Brothers, and the lead project manager for the reconstruction and repositioning of a 300,000sf distressed office complex. He has worked on more than 20 individual high-rise condominiums, totaling more than 5,000 residential units and $2 billion in value.
