ELM works designs for Nocatee Town Center
JACKSONVILLE - Construction on infrastructure and streetscape improvements are now under way for the Nocatee Town Center, a mixed-use commercial, retail and residential area that will serve as a community hub for Nocatee.
Ervin Lovett & Miller, the consulting planner and landscape architect for the project, is completing designs for hardscape, streetscape and landscape elements for the center. Inspired by the concept of historic Main Streets, the Town Center is being designed to provide a pedestrian-oriented, urban environment conducive to living, working and shopping.
The first phase of the Nocatee Town Center will revolve around retail and grocery components. Ervin Lovett & Miller has helped weave a plan for current and future uses of the space while still maintaining a central, identifiable Town Center core.
Construction on infrastructure is currently under way - with hardscape, streetscape and landscape design elements expected to begin in spring 2009. In addition to its work on the Nocatee Town Center, the firm has also served as architect, landscape architect and recreation planner for the 78-acre Nocatee Community Park, which is currently under construction.
