JACKSONVILLE BEACH - LandSouth Construction, a general contractor specializing in multifamily construction, announced 2008 was its best revenue-generating year ever. The company’s sales for the year totaled $77 million compared with $61 million in 2007, an increase of more than 26%. The record numbers come on the heels of the company’s 10th anniversary.

“Despite the economic downturn, 2008 turned out to be a very successful year for LandSouth,” said James Pyle, president and CEO of LandSouth Construction, which was founded in 1998. “We completed several high-profile projects and continued work on additional communities in Orlando, Kissimmee, Daytona Beach and Palm Coast.”

Pyle attributes the company’s success to several projects it completed during 2008, including the $19 million apartment community of Atlantic Crossing at Deerwood Park and the $39 million condominium community of Valencia at South Beach, both of which are in the Jacksonville area.

In 2008, LandSouth also completed the 272-unit luxury apartment complex of Integra Landings at Ivey’s Lake in Orange City, and the 304-unit luxury apartments at Integra Meadows at Stoneybrook in Davenport. The company is currently building two luxury apartment communities in Florida - Integra Woods in Palm Coast and Integra Shores in Daytona Beach.
