Group formed to recruit foreign investors seeking U.S. visas
MAITLAND - Real estate analysts and investment specialists George Livingston, chairman of NAI Realvest; Attorney G. Richard Hostetter; and Rick Asta, CEO of Realvest Development have formed the Orlando EB5 Regional Center in Maitland to help foreign investors earn legal status in the U.S.
Their new organization recently formed a joint venture with the American Dream Fund of Los Angeles to recruit Asian investors to earn permanent U.S. visas.
Hostetter, who serves as senior vice president and general counsel of the Orlando EB5 Regional Center, said U.S. immigration laws permit conditional visas for foreigners and their families who invest in job-creating enterprises in the U.S.
If those enterprises generate a significant number of new jobs, the investors and their immediate families - including a spouse and children under the age of 21 - can be granted permanent visas, Hostetter said.
During a recent trip to China, Hostetter and Livingston met with more than 300 potential Chinese investors.
